The BN near the end of development

Just jotting down some rough notes here—stuff outside of the game itself—to toss on the blog for friends who enjoy reading these updates.

Progress on the new game is going pretty well. It’s faster than last year’s Flan’sMS, and I’ve definitely gotten a lot more skilled at this. It kinda hits me that it’s taken 2-3 years of making games to finally feel like I’ve crossed the “noob developer” efficiency threshold…(mabye not? lol)

The funny part is that Chapters 3 and 4 are starting to get super abstract and vibe-heavy again to fill in the background details (lol). Because of the game’s core theme, there’s some philosophical stuff woven in that I can’t really spell out directly. It’s not one of those RPGs with a super clear, logical storyline. Plus, with my own scripting skills being what they are, the way it comes across might feel a bit abstract.

To borrow a classic, old-school writing rule: if you show a gun in the opening scene, it absolutely has to go off by the end.

But right now, I can’t even confidently say I’ll nail that “firing” moment properly, let alone blend it smoothly with all the deeper psychological themes. All I can say is, I’m doing my absolute best qvq

On a lighter note: I was thinking of casually trying a mobile port () but suddenly realized I only have an old HarmonyOS device, so testing will have to happen on an emulator for now.
But then I found out—by accident—that there seems to be a developer reward for releasing a HarmonyOS version? hhhhh

If I can actually get it, that’s a few K right there. If it really happens, I’ll add it to the income section later—and put all of it into the charity pool. Should be enough to cover tuition for some kids in less-developed areas.

Also, the charity percentage for the new project will probably be around 5–10%? At the very least, it’ll match the 5% from last year’s project. I’ll update with a proper table after the first payout post-release.

Just tossing in a couple of progress screenshots here. Nothing super exciting or teaser-y, sorry.

sorry my en version still translate , here just some other lang png

That’s all for this quick update. Honestly, the game dev process itself hasn’t had any dramatic or particularly fun moments—most of the time is just repetitive manual tweaking and fixing stuff, which is totally normal. I’ll save the rest of the details for a proper blog post after release. Thanks so much for reading this and for supporting me—I really love you all.
